With the growth that Oakmonte Village has experienced this past year comes the opportunity to enhance the services for the Residents that call Oakmonte home.
Oakmonte is pleased to announce that Madhavi Uppalapati, MD has joined the team of healthcare providers offering services to the Residents of Oakmonte Village. The addition of Dr. Uppalapati provides the residents with a choice of on-site physician services along with Dr. Chester Miltonberger who currently provides medical care to his patients at Oakmonte.
Dr. “Uh” has her patients affectionately call her attended the University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, A.P., India from 1991 – 1996 earning her Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery. Her post graduate education was at the University of Illinois where she completed her internal medicine residency and one year of clinical experience at the V.A. hospital.
Dr. Uppalapati worked from 2002 – 2004 at Mid-Florida Hospital Specialists and at East Coast Hospital Inpatient Specialists from 2005 – 2007. In 2006 Dr. Uppalapati opened her own practice in Lake Mary.
Dr. Uppalapati is affiliated with South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, FL and Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, FL. Both the doctor and Oakmonte Village share a partnership with Towers Home Care & Rehabilitation. Towers Rehab offers onsite rehab and nursing services to Residents of Oakmonte.

The Orchestra is made up of musicians all of whom enjoy crossing musical boundaries. It is a unit of people with incredibly wide-ranging tastes.
The orchestra plays as broad a repertoire as possible in as stylish a fashion as possible. The group appears weekly on Friday Night Music Night and in seasons of Melodies for You on BBC Radio. The show is something of a niche on BBC Television.

Exciting evening at Oakmonte last night! Our residents joined city and county officials as well as the Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts commitee members for their annual V.I.P Kick Off Event.
Festival poster artist, Sharon L. Kusha along with several other festival artists displayed their artwork during the event. Sharon Kusha’s original painting which inspired this year’s poster was on display and silent bids were being accepted during the evening.

The Innovative Nursing and Towers Home Health Care is administering vaccinations at Oakmonte Village at Lake Mary, this Friday, October 1st, 2010 from 9:30 am to 12:00 am.

This year, for the first time since the Democrats and Republicans came together in the 1980s to overhaul Social Security, the benefit payouts will exceed the revenues of payroll taxes. Now, if you are a part of the “baby boomers” era, then the likeliness of money for retirement is more possible. However, if you are from later years it decreases. First and foremost, out of every pay check, decide on a certain percent that you are going to utilize to set aside and put into a savings account. This amount is different for everyone depending upon annual salary – you have to decide what is in the best interest for you. Also, something that is helpful is decreasing your annual spending. It surprises everyone when they find out that eating out for dinner 3 or 4 times a week has such an impact on how much money you are able to save. In addition to this, if you put the additional money every month that you allot for spending and do not use, then that is bringing you that much closer to your desired retirement amount. One last idea to think about is investments. It is really wise to think about investing in a company you trust. This can really pay off in the end.

OK, here’s an observational quiz: What’s the one most visible sign posted in banks everywhere? And no, I don’t mean the “We Think Your Money is Our Money” sign, or the one that says, “If You Don’t Need Money, We’ll Loan It to You”.
Answer: “FDIC Insured”. It’s everywhere. On the doors, on the table where you make out your deposit ticket, next to the Tellers. I heard that one bank even staples it to the Tellers’ foreheads. You think?
So, did you know that the Insurance/Annuity Industry also has guarantees on its cash values? You didn’t? Why not?
Because we were not allowed to tell you about the Florida Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association (FLHIGA) until July 1, 2010. Since it is now after July 1, 2010, I can tell you, sort of. Actually, I still can’t tell you this unless you ask me. All I am doing today is telling you that a law was just passed that allows us to tell you this – if you ask.
If you wonder why we had to keep this secret, maybe you should look at the lobbying power of our beloved and trusted banking industry. Now they can’t hide behind the idea that they are the only “safe” place to put your money, as they offer you their absurdly low rates.
This foolishness is kind of the banking lobby forcing a “Don’t Ask; Don’t Tell Policy” on their competitors.
But, if you do ask, I can tell you that, with new rules that are also part of this law, the FLHIGA will guarantee cash values on Annuity Contracts up to $250,000. But, remember, I can only tell you if you are curious as to the safety of your Nest Egg. If you don’t care, if you don’t ask, you’ll just have to wonder. I can’t tell you.
